Who’s Dividing Whom? Prager H2: Barack Obama blames the religious right for dividing the country. He lists abortion, same sex marriage, school prayer, and intelligent design as the specific dividing issues. He’s right that the country is divided over these issues, but why is the Left less culpable than the Right? There’s a lot of sound and fury surrounding Obama, but very little substance. He’s a garden variety liberal… Dennis talks to Frederick Taylor, renowned English historian. His new book is The Berlin Wall: A World Divided, 1961-1989… A new electronic billboard in Manhattan proudly displays naked rear ends for a toilet ad. The concept of public propriety is disappearing… Residents in Tahoe blame environmentalist for this latest terrible fire. Can’t cut anything down anymore to prevent fires. Ultimate Issues Hour: The Unimportance of Blood Prager H3: America was founded on the principal of the insignificance of blood. Can you do the job? That’s the question America was interested in. Not, “who’s your father.†We are a merit based society. Adoption is another area where blood takes on too much importance. Are we attached to our children because of blood or because we raised them? Hello, Africa! This is a Great Program We Love ‘John of Queens’ and ‘Frank of Staten’ Island!!! |
The Left’s Complicity with Evil
Frank goes after author Adam LeBor, who wrote an op-ed piece in the NY Times this past week calling for the re-writing of Israel’s national anthem, “Hatikvah” to be more “inclusive”. LeBor cites the national anthem of the so-called “New” South Africa as “…. an excellent example in inclusive nation-building,” which Frank uses to show how the Left does not care about the destruction their cliche-mongering brings to the countries they attack. South Africa is now an outhouse, people die fleeing Castro’s Cuba, and the people of Nicaragua are left to rot in poverty.
Lebor outs himself as a Bolsheviki when he writes that while “even knowing the horrors of Communism, the Red Army choir singing the “Internationale” still can bring on goose bumps and visions of Soviet troops charging Nazi tanks.” Using LeBor’s Leftist logic, Frank plays three national anthems that bring goose bumps to him: “La Giovinezza,” the anthem of Fascist Italy, “Dixie,” the anthem of the Confederate South, and “Horst Wessel Lied,” the anthem of Nazi Germany.
Also, Leftist propaganda in the mainstream media arguing in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens… the pious fraud Jimmy Carter… Nifong is only the symptom, the disease goes much deeper…

The Boeremag Trial
After long four years, the Communist-ANC finally rested their case against the so-called “Boeremag 21” this week. Paul Kruger, one of the attorneys representing the accused, speaks with Frank van Queens about the events that led to the trial, his strategies on freeing his clients, and many other aspects of the trial that have not been heard of anywhere else.

Faux Pas Peru Prager H1: (Please note: we experienced technical problems during this hour.) Cameron Diaz “apologizes†for walking around Peru with a Mao purse. The Shining Path, a Maoist group, almost destroyed that country a decade ago…. The $54 million pants man lost his lawsuit and if there’s any justice in the world will now lose his shirt… A new study claims that first borns have higher IQ than younger siblings… Immigration takes center stage this week. Conservatives, however they come down on this issue, need to avoid insulting decent people like Senators John Kyl of Arizona or Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Leave the incivility to the Left… Barack Obama says that the religious right is sowing division. Those on the religious left who want to redefine marriage do not cause division?… A Huffington Post blogger writes that GW is not only as bad as Hitler and other “fascist dictators,†he’s worse. At least, they were sincere. GW is just greedy. Mon, 25 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

Military Contracting: Front & Center The Military has always looked to outside contractors to supply everything from hammers to tanks to airplanes, establishing relationships described by President Eisenhower as the Military-Industrial complex. Today, that list of contractors is growing with the demands of war on multiple fronts, and the contractors are taking on new roles – such as translator services, personal security, and public relations. Join John Callaway and his panel of experts as they explore and discuss the real costs – and benefits – of military contracting. Guests: Shephard W. Hill, Jim Hiles, and Arthur Cyr. Originally aired 06/07/07. Fri, 08 Jun 2007 14:00:00 CST

Dennis Prager – 2007-06-13
|
The Snows of Kilimanjaro Prager H1: The melting of the snowcap of Kilimanjaro is a dramatic centerpiece of “An Inconvenient Truth,†Al Gore’s Academy Award-winning documentary. Now a new scientific study reports that the melting snows of the mountain have nothing to do with global warming. In fact, it started over a hundred years ago… Dennis gets an update from Frank Gaffney, President of the Center for Security Policy, about his TV documentary, Islam v. Islamists. So far, PBS has refused to show it. Wed, 13 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

We’re Winning Prager H2: Have we stopped the slaughter in Iraq? Hardly. Is remaking a nation, especially one with no tradition of freedom and rule of law, excruciatingly difficult? Of course. Are we making progress? Definitely. Are deadlines foolish? Yes… The Washington Post reports that Hillary’s current lead over Barack Obama is entirely do to the overwhelming support she has from women. Why is it so easy for people to support “their own†and so difficult to just vote for the best candidate? Wed, 13 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

The Seed of the Church: Martyrdom in Turkey
Just a few weeks ago, Christians gathered in the Holy Land to remember the Armenian victims of genocide. Between 1915 and 1919, 1.5 million Armenians living in Turkey were slaughtered. Shockingly, few today have even heard about the brutal persecution that nearly annihilated this ancient people—who, by the way, chose Christianity as their national religion in 301 A.D.

Dennis Prager – 2007-05-09
|
Jihadism v. Democracy
Prager H1: Dennis talks to Walid Phares, Senior Fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, and Fox News terrorism expert. His new book is The War of Ideas: Jihadism against Democracy… Six would-be Muslim terrorists are arrested in New Jersey. Four of them were from the former Yugoslavia, a nation we attacked to save Muslims… Obama says 10,000 people were killed by Kansas tornado. Every public figure makes gaffes. But would the media be so forgiving if GW made the same mistake? A restaurant owner in Louisville, Kentucky refuses serve to OJ Simpson. OJ’s lawyer plays the race card in response.

Dennis Gets Side Swiped
Prager H2: In a parking lot of his favorite bowling alley. The man who hit him turns out to be a big fan. As one gets older, one is more touched by acts of goodness than shaken by acts of evil… Global Cooling has hit Poland which has lost much of its apple crop to cold weather… A young woman is being forced into a drug rehab program because she took an unauthorized Tylenol at her high school.

Israel Won
Prager H3: The media here, in Israel and in the Arab world announced that Israel had “lost†the war in Lebanon. Dennis disagreed then and does now. Today Thomas Friedman writes a column in which he explains why he agrees with Dennis. Here’s the salient point: the same thing is has happening wit Iraq War. The media and the Democrats say we have lost. But are we really?… Fewer people are watching TV, according to latest data.

Giuliani versus Obama on Terror With Dennis Prager
Prager H1: Rudi Giuliani made a speech yesterday in which he stated that if the Democrats win the White House, we will go on the defensive against terrorism. His statement angered Barack Obama. He thinks Rudi impugned his patriotism. How did Rudi do that?… Why is Pat Tillman’s ultimate sacrifice any less heroic because he was killed by friendly fire?

Frank shows how the terrorist act at V-Tech this week is being used by the Left to seek for faults of American society, and shift blame away from their ill-concieved social programs. Frank highlights the hypocrosy of the Left in this incident, and ties it into the Waco massacre.
Plus, thoughts on the Gonzales controversy… the NJ governor’s car crash… Praise for Poland’s standing up to the Communist Scum… Your phone calls at 718-761-9996 and much more.

Dennis Prager – 2007-04-23 |
Identifying Evil With Dennis Prager
Prager H1: Virginia Tech students return to class today… In the Sunday Observer (UK), a Left-leaning paper, an opinion writer wonders why Muslims don’t even protest the gas attacks in Iraq… In Turkey, horrific details of torture emerge from the murder of Christians at a publishing house last week… Barack Obama’s comments after the Virginia Tech massacre have now been published in full. In context, they don’t come off any better.

The US – That’s the Ultimate With Dennis Prager
Prager H2: In the Sunday NYT Magazine, there’s a moving story about a Filipino woman who makes good money in Saudi Arabia to support her family in the Philippines. But the US is where she really wants to go… Yesterday was Earth Day. The Prager Show wants to do its bit. Dennis talks to Dr. Steven Hayward, Senior Fellow, American Enterprise Institute and co-author of Index of Leading Environmental Indicators 2006. Turns out that things might not be so dire on mother earth; in many cases actually getting better.

Why Does Joe Lieberman Support the War? With Dennis Prager
Prager H3: His liberal colleagues take a totally different position. They are anti-war. So, why is Lieberman different? Also, liberal NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd slices and dices John Edwards. She doesn’t like his $400 hair cuts.
