Sweden: Lowered sentences for boys who raped 13-year old

Lowered sentences in rape case

The three boys who were sentenced by the district court to ten months in juvenile detention for raping a 13-year old girl got their sentences lowered to six months by the court of appeal.

The girl was threatened and forced to have oral sex with all three boys. Since the girl is under 15, which is the age of consent in Sweden, it is ruled as rape of a child. According to the girl the boys also urinated on her.

Both courts believe in the girl’s story, and the district court wanted the longer sentence since all three boys had been in on the rape, and because of their ruthless behavior (urinating on her).

However, the court of appeal does not feel that it has been proved that they did urinate on the girl, and they didn’t use any violence that lead to physical injuries either. These factors, plus the fact that the boys were at almost the same age as the girl is what makes the court of appeal feel that the crime committed isn’t as severe as the district court found it to be.

The damage payment to the poor girl is also lowered, from 180 000 Swedish Crowns to 120 000.

We Love ‘John of Queens’ and ‘Frank of Staten’ Island!!!

The Left’s Complicity with Evil

1Frank goes after author Adam LeBor, who wrote an op-ed piece in the NY Times this past week calling for the re-writing of Israel’s national anthem, “Hatikvah” to be more “inclusive”. LeBor cites the national anthem of the so-called “New” South Africa as “…. an excellent example in inclusive nation-building,” which Frank uses to show how the Left does not care about the destruction their cliche-mongering brings to the countries they attack. South Africa is now an outhouse, people die fleeing Castro’s Cuba, and the people of Nicaragua are left to rot in poverty.

Lebor outs himself as a Bolsheviki when he writes that while “even knowing the horrors of Communism, the Red Army choir singing the “Internationale” still can bring on goose bumps and visions of Soviet troops charging Nazi tanks.” Using LeBor’s Leftist logic, Frank plays three national anthems that bring goose bumps to him: “La Giovinezza,” the anthem of Fascist Italy, “Dixie,” the anthem of the Confederate South, and “Horst Wessel Lied,” the anthem of Nazi Germany.

Also, Leftist propaganda in the mainstream media arguing in favor of amnesty for illegal aliens… the pious fraud Jimmy Carter… Nifong is only the symptom, the disease goes much deeper…

Midsummer in Sweden – drunkenness, fights, rape, accidents and death…

Midsummer’s Eve was according to the police “no worse than an ordinary Saturday” – at least here in the Gothenburg area. The heavy rain is most likely the reason why there was very little trouble to be found. A handful of people were taken into custody due to assault, but other than that it has been a very peaceful Midsummer.

Along the west coast about 50 people were taken into custody for drunkenness, a few drunken minors were taken care of as well and one person was arrested for drunk driving. Still, this is what would be expected on an average weekend, according to the police.

Out in Frölunda, one man was arrested suspected of assault at a camping. According to the police, there were two men in their 30’s that had been assaulting a bunch of teenagers at the camping. One teenager was taken to the hospital.

After the heavy rain tapered off around 9 pm at night, trouble hit the streets again…

At a camping south of Halmstad (south of Sweden) there were fifteen people who fought with knives and brass knuckles.

At least ten cars were stopped due to drunk driving at another camping west of Halmstad.

In Lysekil up the west coast the police had confiscated a large amount of beer from minors, and poured it out on the site.

On Gotland, two young men had fallen off the same cliff, south of Visby, but they had no connection to each other. One of the men was only injured, the other one died from the fall. The injured man was rescued, the rescue operation took an hour. How the rescue crew could miss spotting the other man is unknown – he was found dead on Saturday only 40 meters away from where the injured man had been. However, the rescue took place in the middle of the night, and it is unknown when the other man fell down the cliff.

One man died after a motorboat crashed into a sail boat in the Stockholm archipelago.

Another man drowned in a harbor outside Söderhamn.

In Östergötland, one man was reported missing after a boat ride on the lake Glan. He was found dead on Saturday.

In Örebro, one man was arrested after a rape in an apartment.

A teenage girl was raped at a camping at Borgholm on Öland.

In Norrköping, a man had been seriously injured after being stabbed with a knife in his head, chest and abdomen. He was rushed to surgery.

There has also been a number of traffic accidents…

In Halmstad a car was driving on a bicycle/walkway (!), and the car crashed, leaving one man dead and another injured.

In Falun a 16-year old girl died, and two men were injured. The three of them (!) were on a four wheel motorcycle, and collided with a tractor.

In Vällingby a car slammed into three light posts, then crashed into a big rock, flipped over and caught fire. The three men in the car managed to get out alive, but two of them were injured. Apparently the car was going “a bit too fast” at the time of the accident.

In Jämtland there were three car accidents involving drunk drivers, none of them were serious, the people involved weren’t injured, but they will be charged with drunk driving.

“No worse than an ordinary Saturday”…

Escape In Sweden – Sex Slave Runs To Polis While Captor Sleeps

Swedish Sex slave raped and beaten for over a week in Växjö

The polis have a 25 year old man in custody for the charges of abduction, rape, and assault. A woman in Småland, southern province of Sweden, visited a 25 year old man at his house of her own choice but was not allowed to leave the house when she wanted to do so. Instead the woman reported to police that she was raped & beaten for over a week. She escaped from the man when she had found an opportunity while he slept.

The polis have the man in custody while they investigate. The man has stated that the woman was with him voluntarily and that he is not guilty of any crime. The polis will weigh the merits of the womans charges and see if the man will in fact be arrested.

Here in Sweden you are held by the polis during an initial investigation and if they are found to be sufficient you are then arrested. Currently the man is in custody by the polis in Växjo which is a city in Småland which is a province in southern Sweden with a population of more then 700,000 and broken into three counties, Jönköping County, Kalmar County and Kronoberg County .

Swedish Nanny Murder Follow Up

Killer Charged with murder may have committed more crimes

The 24-year old who is accused of having murdered the Croatian au-pair Jelena Ivanisevic out in LÃ¥ngedrag during the Easter holiday is now suspected of having committed several other crimes.

Two women recently reported that he had attempted to rape them, events that are said to have taken place in March earlier this year.

The reason why the 24-year old is now being connected to other criminal activities mostly has to do with his very characteristic appearance. He is extremely short and of Indian decent. When this description began circulating in the media, two women out in Västra Frölunda reacted.

About a month prior to the murder they claim to have been attacked by a man of just Indian decent and they could also in other ways describe a man matching the 24-year old’s appearance.

The 24-year old is now accused of three major crimes. One is a rape of a former girlfriend, back in January 2006. He was arrested at the time of the incident, but later released due to lack of evidence.

This investigation has been brought up again as the recent events has been shedding some light on what happened.

Then there is the double attempt of rape against two women at the end of march this year.

Third, but definitely not least – the murder of the 20-year old Jelena Ivanisevic in April this year.

According to the psychiatric evaluation, the 24-year old has absolutely no mental problems of any kind.

Friends of the 24-year old have testified that one of his major interests is girls, and he is considered as very fixated on sex. He also worked extra as a bartender at a porn club in the center of Gothenburg.

There are indications that might point to Jelena Ivanisevic having been sexually abused in connection with the murder, but the prosecutor and police have so far refused to reveal any details.

The prosecutor is going to hand in the charges against the 24-yearold, but as the case keeps getting bigger and bigger he has asked for a little more time.

Swedish Prostitution/Trafficking Court Case

Two of the pimps involved in the big court case here in Gothenburg have now confessed to their crimes. One man and one woman are now confessing to the charges against them.

20 men are being charged with having bought sex from Russian prostitutes.

We have a friend who lives in the Netherlands, where prostitution is LEGAL, and the other day when I was talking to her in instant messages, she said she was going to watch Oprah. She said that she didn’t really like the constant commercial breaks, though – I said well who does – and she then told me that at night time (one would hope way after all Dutch children have gone to bed!) the commercials on TV are mostly about sex, call girls, clubs, you name it! That’s one of the downsides with living in a country that has made prostitution legal, I suppose…

(Prostitution in the Netherlands has been legal since January 1988, when it was defined as a legal profession. However, prostitutes must be at least 18, while for non-commercial sex the age of consent is 16. Clients must be at least 16. Violation of either age limit is a crime for the other party, and possibly for a pimp.

The legalized status allows prostitutes to have access to the social security system, since 1996 sex workers have paid income tax, and reforms in 1999 gave prostitution the same status as any other form of labor. Prostitutes form unions, and are otherwise treated like any other self-employed trades person. Advertising their services is likewise tolerated.

Health and social services are readily available, but the women are not required to undergo regular health checks. A recent study found that despite health rules, about 7 percent of Dutch prostitutes have HIV/AIDS. )

Swedish Nanny murderer admits to killing

The man suspected of murdering 20-year-old Croatian au pair Jelena Ivanisevic in Gothenburg last week has confessed to the lesser charge of manslaughter. The man, 24, was been remanded in custody on Friday by Gothenburg District Court. He was arrested on Tuesday, following the discovery of Ivanisevic’s body last Thursday night.

Police are releasing few details of their investigation. It is known that the man attended the same course as Ivanisevic at Gothenburg University, but there the motive for the killing remains unclear. Police have also confirmed that the man is not a Swedish citizen.

“We have looked into his background and have a fairly good idea of who he is, what he was doing in Sweden and his relationship to the woman,” said police spokesman Thomas Fuxborg.

“I cannot say more at present,” he added.

It is not clear how long the man had been in Sweden, but police are certain that he has been in the country for at least a year. He was a suspect in a rape investigation last year, although he was released after a remand hearing. The rape investigation remains open.

Thomas Fuxborg said that the rape investigation had so far not figured in the current murder probe.

“But once he’s remanded we may look at that too,” he said.

Ivanisevic was found in the house belonging to the family for whom she worked as an au pair. She had lived there since moving to Sweden from Croatia. The family was on vacation at the time her body was found.

Police went to the house after Ivanisevic’s friends expressed concern that she had not been in touch for a few days. Police now believe that she was killed on Easter Sunday, several days before her body was discovered. Police have confirmed that she was murdered.

An autopsy confirmed that the woman had been murdered, but police would not reveal what they found in the house or how she had been killed.

SHOW

Identifying Evil With Dennis Prager

Prager H1: Virginia Tech students return to class today… In the Sunday Observer (UK), a Left-leaning paper, an opinion writer wonders why Muslims don’t even protest the gas attacks in Iraq… In Turkey, horrific details of torture emerge from the murder of Christians at a publishing house last week… Barack Obama’s comments after the Virginia Tech massacre have now been published in full. In context, they don’t come off any better.

The US – That’s the Ultimate With Dennis Prager

Prager H2: In the Sunday NYT Magazine, there’s a moving story about a Filipino woman who makes good money in Saudi Arabia to support her family in the Philippines. But the US is where she really wants to go… Yesterday was Earth Day. The Prager Show wants to do its bit. Dennis talks to Dr. Steven Hayward, Senior Fellow, American Enterprise Institute and co-author of Index of Leading Environmental Indicators 2006. Turns out that things might not be so dire on mother earth; in many cases actually getting better.

Why Does Joe Lieberman Support the War? With Dennis Prager

Prager H3: His liberal colleagues take a totally different position. They are anti-war. So, why is Lieberman different? Also, liberal NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd slices and dices John Edwards. She doesn’t like his $400 hair cuts.

Swedish Nanny Murder Suspect From Same Class in School

Murder suspect studied together with the victim

The 24-yearold man studied at the same school as the murdered Croatian girl Jelena Ivanisevic. From August to December last year he was one of the 40 students in the same class as the murdered girl, but then he dropped out.

The two knew each other and met on several occasions together with other friends.

Through mutual acquaintances it is possible that the 24-year old found out that Jelena was going to be alone in the house over Easter.

The police are still hesitating to give out any more details about the circumstances around Jelena’s death.

Virginia Tech and Moral Confusion With Dennis Prager

Prager H1: Barack Obama draws a comparison between Virginia Tech murders and the Don Imus fiasco (they are different kinds of violence), a poet at Virginia Tech compares the murders to the killing of baby elephants, Barbara Boxer connects the murders to Global Warming. We are living in a morally confused world.

Issues raised include: why do boys spit; if God told Dennis that socialism was better than capitalism would Dennis change his position; does Dennis smoke cigars in his car; should a skinny guy bulk up; how do you determine if someone is a liberal; and, how do you determine if someone is really religious.
