Obama’s Transparency in Government Illustrated

We all know about Obama’s campaign promises regarding transparency and accountability in government…

Over at The ChamberPost, Brad Peck vividly demonstrates what the Obama White House means by “Transparency and Open Government” in his Transparency Incarnate post.

This is what he had to say:

In light of this unprecedented call to openness, we were truly astounded when, in response to the Chamber’s FOIA request to the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) relating to agency records on climate change, we were told that CEQ had identified 87 documents totaling 759 pages that were responsive to our request. HOWEVER, they could not release most of the documents because they “originated” with another agency — we have issued a FOIA request to them, no response yet — what they could release to us* looked like this:

It is amazing that the Obama White House would pull that kind of garbage but after the Joe Biden January announcement published in the LA Times it really does not surprise me.

In the morning, the President and the Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing and the Economic Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. These briefings are closed press.

At 11:30 AM, the Vice President will meet with Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood to discuss the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This meeting is closed press.

Afterwards, the President and the Vice President will have lunch in the Private Dining Room. This lunch is closed press.

Then, at 2:15 PM, the Vice President will meet with Earl Devaney, chairman of the Recovery Act Transparency and Accountability Board. This meeting is closed press.

Don’t Wait for Barack Obama to Ban Your Guns

Don’t Wait for Barack Obama to Ban Your Guns – Register to Vote Today!

Barack Obama Has Supported:

A Total Ban on Handguns
A Ban on the Sale or Transfer of All Semi-Auto Firearms
A Ban on Right-to-Carry Permits
A Ban on Firearms Kept in the Home
And More —

“So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them….”
— Barack Obama, April 2, 2008
Barack Obama has made it clear – he believes gun owners are dangerous and that guns should be banned. If he is elected President, he could name new Supreme Court Justices who will try to overturn the recent court decision and strip our rights away.

Protect your rights. Protecting your rights has never been more important.

Obama’s Plan to Destroy America

How do I even begin to express my utter disbelief that we have a candidate for President who would state so succinctly a plan that would cripple America.

Is it even necessary to respond to such leftist dribble?

The President seems to have summed it up pretty well…

Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.

We’ve still got a year and a half to go until the 2008 presidential election—and the mudslinging and dirty tricks have been going full blast for months: Publicity over John Edwards’ $400 haircuts. Gossip about Rudy Giuliani’s multiple marriages. Internet ads that make Hillary Clinton look demonic.

Dennis Prager

Dennis Prager – 2007-06-06

Buck Fush Prager H1: This is a Leftist witticism that one commonly sees on cars and t-shirts now. Why is there no equivalent on the Right? Plenty of conservatives hated Bill Clinton, but they never came up with an equivalent bumper sticker. Why do liberals and Leftists swear in public and conservatives don’t? And what does it say about the two competing ideologies?… Obama falls into victim-speak when addressing a black crowd. And, Hillary has upset the Left with her “we are safer now” comment at Sunday’s debate – just as Dennis predicted she would. Wed, 06 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

No Child Left Behind Working Prager H2: Test scores have soared, according to an independent report. Let’s see how much credit GW gets for this. You can guess… California’s Democratic dominated legislature passes bill legalizing same sex marriage – again… NASA Chief apologizes for his “no reason to panic about global warming” remarks. He violated the orthodoxy and he’s been made to repent – in public, of course… Dennis starts his analysis of yesterday’s Republican debate. Wed, 06 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

Free Scooter Now Prager H3: The President can end this travesty of justice immediately. He should do it… Dennis continues with his analysis of the Republican debate, focusing on the War on Terror and Immigration questions. Wed, 06 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT
