Military Contracting: Front & Center The Military has always looked to outside contractors to supply everything from hammers to tanks to airplanes, establishing relationships described by President Eisenhower as the Military-Industrial complex. About

SHOW

Don’t Shoot, We’re Not Jews Prager H1: Hamas takes control of Gaza. Dennis talks to Dore Gold, President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, about the consequences of this coup… NY Times and the Washington Post predictably blame Israel for the Hamas take over. Who else would they blame? The Palestinian death cult culture? Oh, come on… Charles Krauthammer writes that a fence must come first; everything else we can deal with later… Mike Nifong, the Duke La Crosse prosecutor, is on trial for his outrageous behavior during that phony rape case. If he loses, he could be disbarred. Fri, 15 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

Happiness Hour: The Importance of Fathers Prager H2: It shouldn’t be, but in our feminist age, it’s important to make to case for the value of fathers. Dennis asks listeners two questions: how important has your father been to your happiness, and how important is it to your happiness to be a father? Fri, 15 Jun 2007 04:00:00 GMT

Inside Sweden 2007-06-01

It`s a facet of life in Sweden that many Swedes won`t ever experience. Inside Sweden meets a journalist who wanted to change all that – and spent a year in a one of this country`s refugee reception centres – and wrote a book about her experiences. One senior citizen dropped off a sawn-off shotgun and one couple were relieved to get rid of a weapon they`d been hiding for decades. Sounds more like the wild west than Scandinavia – but it`s just one story from the three-month weapons amnesty that ended yesterday. Also, a disturbing report this week uncovers violence against disabled women – and it`s often carried out by their caregivers.

About

SHOW

Kidnapped BBC Correspondent Speaks

Prager H1: BBC Correspondent Alan Johnston has been a hostage in Gaza since March 12. A video of him blaming the US, Israel and the UK for all the world’s problems has just been released… Norway sends money to Hamas – for civilian purposes. Oh, please. This is supporting terrorism, plain and simple… The world isn’t that morally complex. The problem is people just don’t want to face evil. It’s a lot easier and safer to attack GW. You can do that all day and not get hurt.

Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda. Issues raised include: what does Dennis listen to on his iPod; does Dennis ever get booed at speeches; how does Dennis feel about chewing tobacco; does Dennis support the Cuban trade embargo; what happened to masculine stoicism; isn’t a consumption tax unfair to retirees because they’ve already paid their taxes; how does Dennis feel about Internet gambling.

OPEC Is Not in the House

by Jerry Taylor and Peter Van Doren

Jerry Taylor and Peter Van Doren are senior fellows. Peter Van Doren is also editor of
Regulation magazine.

On Tuesday, the House of Representatives passed a bill on a vote of 345-72 that would allow the federal government to sue OPEC for violations of America’s anti-trust laws. Not to put too fine a point on it, but the “No Oil Producing and Exporting Cartels Act of 2007” (NOPEC) is probably the most ridiculous piece of legislation ever hammered through Congress. That serious people entertain this idea is a remarkable demonstration of the fact that, once the topic of conversation turns to oil, the human brain spontaneously short-circuits, nodal synapses fire randomly, and I.Q. points bleed out of the cranium and all over the kitchen floor.

The anti-immigrant Sweden Democrats have now been welcomed into the debate arena. Politicians and council leaders are getting tips on how to deal with them. Flower power goes imperial. The Japanese Emperor and Empress take part in the ongoing Carl von Linné celebrations. And “Fiction is no Joke” – an artistic blast at civil wars, atrocities and brutal regimes.

BREAKPOINT with Chuck Colson – 2007-05-21

Life is Short: Keep Your Commitments
The billboard, set high above Chicago streets, was enough to stop traffic. It featured, on one side, the torso of a buxom young woman wearing a black-lace brassiere and little else. The other side featured the torso of a young man with six-pack abs. The billboard’s message? “Life is short: Get a divorce.” Beneath it was the phone number of a firm of divorce lawyers.

Hewitt: The Left Loathes Talk Radio
It is no secret that the left in America loathe talk radio–it is the medium where the conservative counter-revolution in media was launched and where huge audiences gather daily to hear Rush, Sean, Bill Bennett, Dennis Prager, Laura Ingraham and Michael Medved and, yes, me.

This is a Great Program

We Love ‘John of Queens’ and ‘Frank of Staten’ Island!!!

We Need A Third Party

nFrank and John explain how the duplicitous actions taken by the Bush Administration against the people of the United States, regarding the illegal immigration amnesty bill, only show that we desperately need a valid third party in America. We all should have heeded the advice of callers to The Right Perspective, such as Steve from Manhattan and the late Richard of Dallas, whose prophetic words have unfortunately come true.

Frank also discusses a New York Times article, “The Struggle for Relevance in the Post-Apartheid Era” which, as usual, blames “the vestiges of Apartheid” for the belief that raping babies cures AIDS, when it in fact is cultural ignorance of the Bantu peoples.
