On the cards: legislation to combat online grooming. Experts go after sexual predators who target youngsters on the Net. Finland`s newly re-elected Prime Minister visits Sweden. A game plan against global warming topped the agenda. And many Swedes pop in a pouch of moist oral snuff instead of lighting up. But a study suggests that the snus honeymoon may be over, as scientists connect it to cancer.

Dennis Prager

Dennis Prager – 2007-05-01

About

SHOW

Tony Blair Steps Down

Prager H1: The British Prime Minister will leave office in June after 10 years on the job. As usual, he was very eloquent as he reviewed his tenure. Dennis deconstructs his comments and finds much to admire and much to be concerned about… Dennis talks to Sasha Issenberg, a journalist who has writes for Slate and Washington Monthly. He has written a new book about Dennis’ favorite food — The Sushi Economy: Globalization and the Making of a Modern Delicacy.

They’re Not Going to Surrender on a Battleship

Prager H2: Our enemies are suicide bombers and guerilla armies. We can’t stop a Saudi sneaking into Iraq and blowing himself up in a market. So, what does it mean that we have won or we have lost? This is a different kind of war, but not less critical because it’s not so easily defined… Dennis talks to Mike Gallagher, nationally syndicated radio talk show, who is in Greensburg, KS, a town of two thousand which was wiped off the map late last week by a horrific tornado.

Do Big Cities Make Us Worse?

Prager H3: Thomas Jefferson thought so. And Dennis tends to agree. Callers, including Allen’s sister, Amy, weigh in with their theories.

Through the Back Door: Doctors Turn Against Abortion Most of you know that the Supreme Court recently handed the pro-life cause an important victory by upholding a ban on partial-birth abortion. Happiness Hour: Raise a Happy Adult Prager H2: We all want our children to be happy, but a child’s happiness should not be your goal as a parent. Your goal should be to raise a happy adult. That doesn’t always mean a happy child. Building character should supersede keeping your child happy. In the long run, this approach is more likely to lead to a happy adulthood.

Issues raised include: why do liberals have more bumper stickers more than conservatives; how does Dennis feel about tip jars; what would a July 4 “seder” (Passover-like service) look like; should minorities be treated the same as the majority population or should minorities be treated better.

BREAKPOINT with Chuck Colson- 2007-04-11

ThePoint

Pro-Life TV: That’s a Baby! With Chuck Colson
The scene on the popular medical drama House was typical TV. One doctor, a woman, was explaining to a pregnant woman what was being done to save her baby. But Dr. House, the strongly atheistic hero, kept correcting his colleague with the term “fetus.”

A spate of murdered babies has shocked Germany in recent weeks. The Times of London reports that at least 23 babies have been killed this year alone, “many of them beaten to death or strangled by their mothers before being dumped on wasteland and in dustbins.”

SHOW

Imus Being Imus With Dennis Prager

Prager H1: Dennis talks to John Leo of the Manhattan Institute. In a Wall Street Journal piece today Leo says, in effect, that Imus has always been a low life, that everyone knows it, including the politicians and celebrity journalists, like NY Times Frank Rich, who regularly go on his show… There was another excellent opinion piece on this subject today, this one by Jason Whitlock in which he writes that Imus is just a convenient diversion from the real issue – the degradation of black culture.

Who Murdered Boris Litvinenko? With Dennis Prager

Prager H2: Dennis talks to Yuri Felshtinsky, historian of post-Soviet Russia and author. His new book, based on the information provided by poisoned ex-KGB agent, Boris Litvinenko is Blowing Up Russia: The Secret Plot to Bring Back KGB Terror… The Duke Rape charges are finally being dropped. Is the accuser going to be punished for her lies?

Follow the Money With Dennis Prager

Prager H3: If you do, you will come to the conclusion that it’s in supporting global warming research – the kind that says it’s all man-made. The Doris Duke Foundation is giving a cool $100 to what Leo Di Caprio calls “the cause”… In Michigan the Democratic dominated legislature wants to give any student an IPod. Vote Democrat and you get gifts…. Hero of the week: the Slovenian who swam the Amazon. He survived toothpick fish. (You don’t want to know)… New Al Qaeda terror attack in Algeria… PBS and BBC cancel shows dealing with the Islam and the War in Iraq. They don’t want “to offend” anyone… A lottery winners curses his good luck.

Dennis PragerIs MIT’s Richard Lindzen Another Corporate Stooge? With Dennis Prager

He describes his car rental bill, a third of which was pure tax.

Should Don Imus Be Fired? With Dennis Prager
Prager H2: The original shock jock, Don Imus, made some crude comments about the Rutger’s women’s basketball team. He made his mea culpa’s on Al Sharpton’s radio show yesterday. The idea that Al Sharpton could judge anyone on anything after his involvement in the Tawana Brawley scandal is hard to take… A new study reveals that cigarette smoking and coffee drinking prevent Parkinson’s – quite dramatically… British military leadership allowed its kidnapped sailors and marines to sell their stories to the press. They’ve since changed their minds because of public outcry, but the damage has been done.

Kevin Woods Interview

Hello, Africa!

During the 1980’s, the Communist-ANC would launch terrorist attacks from Communist-Occupied Rhodesia into South Africa. A modern-day James Bond, this week’s guest, Kevin Woods, used his role as head of Robert Mugabe’s Central Intelligence Organization (CIO) to find where those rats nests were before the terrorist vermin could unleash their wave of terror against innocent South Africans, Afrikaner and Boere.

As one of the so-called “Harare Three”, along with Mike Smith and Phillip Conjwayo, Kevin was sentenced to death by Robert Mugabe’s regime in 1988 for for murder and spying on behalf of the South African government during the Cold War, after a car bomb attack killed the civilian driver and injured several members of the Communist-ANC in Bulawayo. His sentence was later commuted to life imprisonment and spent nearly 20 years in Robert Mugabe’s gulags, and was finally released on July 1, 2006.

Kevin Woods is currently writing his autobiography and is available for public speaking engagements. For information on these and other ventures, please contact:

South Carolina Secession?

Frank and John mark the beginning of Confederate History Month with Robert Hayes, director of the Southern Cultural Center, who explains the movement in South Carolina for secession from the United States. Fed up with an overbearing, intrusive federal bureaucracy that seeks to centralize their daily lives through political correctness, open borders, and high taxes, twenty percent of South Carolinians now favor secession from the Untied States!

The interview turns in a real donnybrook as Frank and John, two Unionists from North of the Mason-Dixon line, gang up on the Southern Patriot, who remarkably holds his own against the “Frank Fury”, even laughing at the end of the call.

A special thank you to Michael C. for the image. Please visit www.freescrepublic.com for more information on the South Carolina Secessionist Movement.

Also, an apology to the French for calling them “The Stinking French”… Frank calls for Robert Mugabe to be brought up for Crimes Against Humanity… How “1984” is becoming a reality… thoughts on global warming… your phone calls at 718-761-9996 and much more.

Pelosi Paints Party in Pink With Dennis Prager

Prager H1: In her first foreign policy foray, The Speaker of the House, ironically, plays to the stereotype of a compassionate female. If she’s just sweet and reasonable enough, she’ll change the dictator of Syria’s mind. Even the USAToday, whose editorial stance is almost as liberal as the NY Times, thinks that her trip was a disaster… The British sailors and marines are starting to tell their stories about their time in Iranian captivity, but many questions still remain.
