Swedes are not fooled by Global Warming Propaganda.

A Swedish study, in which some 2,500 people were interviewed on climate and environmental issues, compiled by Demoskop and commissioned by Swedish TV4, showed 60 percent of the Swedes polled were unwilling to lower their standard of living to help stop global warming.

Thirty Percent of the Swedes said they were not even worried about Climate change according to the study that was published on Tuesday.

Anders Lindholm, the head of the Demoskop polling institute which carried out the study, told the daily Dagens Nyheter.”Buying environmentally friendly products, such as cars, now has status”. Status and being part of a group of environmental activists that throw reason, logic and Science aside is not appealing to well educated Swedes.

“Only a few(Swedes) however are willing to make changes in the way they travel and about half of the respondents said they would not travel less”. Anders Lindholm, Demoskop

Few Swedes are persuaded by the environmentalist propaganda found in glitzy Science Fiction presentations such as Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”, which was ridiculed by scientists as being lacking in science and geared towards children.
Anders Lindholm went on to say that “Only a few however are willing to make changes in the way they travel and about half of the respondents said they would not travel less”.

Clearly indicated by Tuesday’s Swedish Study on Climate and Environmental issues, compiled by Demoskop and commissioned by Swedish TV4, Logic & Reason are both prevalent in Swedish Society.

Unfortunately, members of Sweden’s Newspapers and Television are not part of the well educated Swedish Majority that recognize the swindle being fabricated by the bankers, International Regulatory Organizations & radical environmentalists who are hoping for profits and gains by new laws, new markets and membership. Too many articles have been written here in Sweden misrepresenting scientific data, containing misleading language, using sensational photos or headlines and unfounded conclusions. As each new scientific study is released a new layer is pealed away. Al Gore says a 20 foot rise in sea level will displace millions of people. Yes, a 20 foot rise in sea level would displace millions of people, but not even the United Nations with it’s well publicized forth IPCC study can give a scientific probability more then a foot or two over the next century and a half. The Emperor of Environmental Propaganda has no Clothes, “Mr. Gore seeing you naked is a scary thought.”

It is heartening to know that most Swedes know a Global Warming Snow Job when they shovel through it.” Swedes and others have to take action before Politicians seeking favor with vocal self-serving Special Interest Groups manage to pass laws that damage not only our economy but society itself.

How would you change your private life to protect the environment?

Let’s see… What do I do to protect the environment…

Well, whether you believe in the threats of global warming or not, it’s still important to take care of the environment – we are the ones that have to live here, and we are passing this earth over to coming generations, we want them to have clean water, fresh air and we don’t want to leave them mountains of garbage all over!

I recycle, I don’t go overboard in sorting things out, perhaps, but I do my share – glass, cardboard, plastic containers, metal… The refund on PET bottles and soda/beer cans is a good way to make people want to bring them back to the store!

I try to remember to turn out the light in rooms that I’m not going to be in, and I have my computer set to shut down and not use as much electricity when I am not at the keyboard – if nothing else it will make my electricity bill a bit lower.

I use rechargeable batteries – they cost a bit to buy, but they sure are worth it!!!

I have some low energy light bulbs, but low energy light bulbs cost a lot to buy, if they were less expensive more people would buy them! (If the EU:s suggested ban on regular light bulbs goes through, I sure hope the low energy ones goes down in price!)

I buy recycled paper – unlike Sheryl Crow I think buying recycled toilet paper is better for the environment than using only one square per bathroom visit – it sure makes less of a mess, I can wipe without feeling crappy!!!

I reuse plastic bags that I have gotten from stores – big ones are great for garbage, and fancier ones are good to put presents in when you hand them over to people!

I don’t have my radiators turned all the way up, not even in the winter time – if it gets a bit chilly, there are sweaters and woolly socks to wear, and at night you are under the covers anyway, so you keep warm that way.

I try to buy the environmentally friendly items at the store – but a lot of the environmentally friendly products, organic food items and so on are too expensive! If they were lower in price, more people would buy them… It’s hard when you are on a tight budget!

I don’t throw things away without at least trying to repair them first – there are enough many people throwing things away, things that could have been repaired or sold as second hand or given away to charity.

I like going to second hand stores and look around, and I always walk home with something too!

I don’t drive, I don’t have a car (I don’t even have a driver’s license!) – I take the bus or the tram, or get a ride with friends and family. Commuting, using public transportations and car pooling is good!

Hmm… How would I CHANGE my private life?

I honestly don’t know what MORE I can do… (If you have any suggestions, let me know, OK?)

Maybe pick up garbage that other people have left behind when I am at the lake or on a walk in the woods, you’d be amazed how many people simply “forget” to bring their trash with them when they go back home!

If I had my own garden I would compost – where I live we don’t have a compost station, just a recycling station… If I had my own garden I would grow my own vegetables – that way I know what I am eating!!!

I could walk more, even if that doesn’t help much, since other people drive cars and ride the buses and so on – but I would feel healthier!

What would YOU do, and what do you ALREADY do?
