“Is there anything that we celebrate this month?”

The last Sunday in May is Mother’s Day here in Sweden. This year it also happens to be the day when we celebrate Pingstdagen - that’s Pentecost/Whitsunday.

On June 6th we celebrate Sweden’s National Day.

On Friday the 19th we celebrate Midsummer’s Eve, the following Saturday is Midsummer’s Day and Sunday is Summer Solstice.

After Midsummer, all the kids are finally off from school, and their parents eventually get off from work, and then we ALL can just enjoy the summer and not really have to keep track of any special days until sometimes in mid August, when school starts again.
